Thys believes that hunting should be an experience that includes the tracking, stalking, shooting and utilization of the whole animal. The trophy is not the animal on the wall, but the whole hunt and a story to tell your grandchildren, friends and family. Rifle, bow, handgun or camera - you will have a hunt to remember.
You will come back for more like his other guests who book year after year! Thys Maritz Safaris is based in the middle of South Africa near the beautiful town of Clarens in the Eastern Free State - 3 hrs from Jhb, Durban and Bloemfontein.
Thys' farm neighbours the Golden Gate National Park. He hunts all over South Africa at selected farms.

Thys specialises in Wing shooting and Plains Game Hunting be it on the plains, bush veld or mountains. Age is not a restriction to hunt in South Africa. Thys adapts his hunting style to accommodate you. Previous hunting experience is not important. Thys will teach you and he's wiling to learn from you as well.
Thys enjoys creating the environment for Dads and sons (or daughters) to experience the wonders of hunting.
